Sam Chau

I only really need 2 things in life: games, and games. Did I mention games?

At an early age, even before videos became a part of my life,  I already developed a taste for creativity. Every spare minute was spent drawing, colouring or building things (albeit mostly useless stuff).

During my three-year games course at LCC, I have learnt a vast range of skills, including conceptualisation, management, programming, 2D/3D graphics and concept prototyping.  The software I generally use include 3DS Max and Photoshop (for graphics), and XNA, Director and Flash for programming.
My goal in life is to be a great game designer and create games everyone can enjoy, which is why I think it is important to learn and cover all aspect of the typical game development cycle.

Previous work samples:

This is a level designed in 3DS Max for an XNA project called House of Liu. The design was based on the Forbidden City, China.

This is a side-scrolling action game made with Adobe Flash. The game’s graphics/sprites were all hand drawn to create a distinct and unique look.

This car was modelled in 3DS Max, with realism in mind.
